DAY 1
Arrival in Costa Rica
Arrival in Costa Rica and seat in bus transfer to the hotel.
Lodging: Hotel Don Fadrique or similar
Meals: none

DAY 2
San José – La Fortuna de San Carlos
Your rented vehicle will be delivered to your hotel in San José. Departure to La Fortuna de San Carlos. The rest of the day is free for optional activities.
Lodging: Luigi’s Lodge or similar
Meals: breakfast

DAY 3
La Fortuna de San Carlos

Today you will make a boat tour on the Peñas Blancas River where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the rainforest and experience its peacefulness as you quietly paddle down the stream. Monkeys, sloths, iguanas, crocodiles and numerous tropical birds await you!

The rest of the day is free for optional activities. Our suggestion:: a visit to La Fortuna Waterfall (optional, not included). This beautiful waterfall is set in the rainforest near the edge of Arenal Volcano National Park. You will hike down the canyon and be rewarded with a natural pool under the falls, perfect for a dip on a hot day.

DAY 4
La Fortuna de San Carlos – Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí

Today you will continue to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí. Drive over Ciudad Quesada and Aguas Zarcas to enjoy the rural areas of Costa Rica, small picturesque towns and incredible landscapes.

You will enjoy the exuberant forest of the Poás Volcano National Park. On clear days you will be able to see the full diameter of the main crater, which is considered one of the widest in the world.

Continue to La Selva Biological Station, which has been declared to be one of the four most interesting and suitable places around the world for investigations of the tropical forest.

DAY 5
Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí - Cahuita

Drive from Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí to the Caribbean Coast.

We recommend a stop at the Rain Forest Aerial Tram (optional, not included ): The tram provides tourists with a unique “bird’s eye view” of one of the most spectacular tropical rainforest canopies in the world.

Continue to Limón and your beach hotel.

DAY 6
Cahuita

Visit today the Cahuita National Park. The Creole beach paradise of Cahuita has a nearby national park with attractive beaches, coral reef and coastal rain forest.

People come to Cahuita for its miles of pristine beaches, which stretch both north and south from town. The sandy beaches lined with rain forest and the coral reef offshore are all part of Cahuita National Park.

DAY 7
Cahuita– San José

Enjoy the morning at the beach. Drive back to San José in the afternoon.

DAY 8
Departure from Costa Rica
