Our suggestions:

On your way to Turrialba drive to the Irazú Volcano National Park and the city of Cartago (optional, not included): Visit the breathtaking summit of the Irazú Volcano for a view of the massive crater. On a clear day you can actually see the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans! In the city of Cartago you will see the Basilica of our "Virgen de los Angeles" with rich displays of carvings, statues and art.

If you would like a little bit more adventure, we suggest a visit to the Turrialba Volcano (optional, not included). Turrialba volcano is located to the northeast of Irazú volcano. Three well-defined craters occur at the upper end of a broad summit depression that is breached to the northeast.. Fumarolic activity continues at the summit craters. It is possible to descend to the crater bottom.

Drive from Turrialba to Matina / Caño Blanco, where you will take a little boat that will take you through the canals of Tortuguero to your hotel.

Admire the great diversity of flora and fauna along the way. After lunch a visit to the village of Tortuguero, the beach area and the small Green Turtle Information Center are organized.

Early birds will have the opportunity to take a boat ride through the canals of the Tortuguero National Park. After breakfast departure to the embarking point. Continue by car to Playa Cocles, south of Limón.

People come to Cahuita for its miles of pristine beaches, which stretch both north and south from town. The sandy beaches lined with rain forest and the coral reef offshore are all part of Cahuita National Park.

Enjoy the morning at the beach. Drive back to San José in the afternoon.
